Jury seated in Roanoke County murder trial
A jury has now been seated in the trial of a Floyd County man accused of killing a prominent lawyer in a hit-and-run.
Jeffery Martin Young is charged with first-degree murder and felony hit-and-run in the Jan. 28, 2008, death of Thomas Farrell, who was on a morning jog on Springlawn Avenue in Southwest Roanoke County when he was struck and killed. Young is also charged with felony murder, intended to give the jury an alternative to the first-degree murder charge.
