Photos: Cave Spring High School hosts annual basketball camp
The state championship basketball team at Cave Spring High School began their annual basketball camp this week. The camp began on Monday, June 22 and will continue June 24 from 9:30 to 3:30 each day.
Each day the campers get to experience a new guest speaker. Today Parisi came out to show the campers some drills. Parisi also worked with the basketball team beginning in August of last year, prior to their 2008 - 2009 state championship season.
Coach Billy Hicks said that this year has been another successful year thus far with 110 campers and coaches helping out. About 30 of those are head coaches, assistant coaches, and the CSHS boy's basketball team. There are about 80 campers total who range from ages 7 to 14.
This is one of the basketball team's biggest fundraisers, aside from their annual golf tournament.
