National College student wins Hurn Scholarship for Academic Performance

SALEM, Va. - National College student David M. Simmons of Roanoke has been awarded a $1200 Joseph E. Hurn Academic Performance Scholarship. Simmons is attending the Roanoke Valley campus of National College in the business administration-management degree program.

 The Hurn Scholarship is awarded to full-time students who have completed their first year of studies at National College and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The scholarship is one of several funded by National College that recognizes academic excellence. Students at every level, including those entering National College for the first time, are eligible to receive scholarships worth from $750 to $2,000 per academic year based on their academic performance. The college is dedicated to rewarding academic achievement and has allocated more than $3 million annually for such scholarship aid.
