Feeling overwhelmed by the summer heat? This time next year you'll be able to cool off at Splash Valley, an outdoor water park attached to Roanoke County's new
Green Ridge Recreation Center. You can be a part of it by becoming a founding member! Membership pre-sale begins Monday, August 3rd. Check our website often to get updates on construction and membership prices. Members will have access to a state-of-the-art wellness center, walking track, gymnasum, and indoor leisure pool featuring water slides, a hot tub and a current river! Green Ridge will open the first week of January.
Rafting the New River Gorge

Get Paid to Talk - Professional Voiceovers
Have you ever been told that you have a great voice? This exciting class explores numerous aspects of voice over work for television, film, radio, audio books, documentaries and the Internet in your area. You will learn how to prepare your demo, how to be successful and earn great income in this exciting field. You will even have a chance to record a commercial script.
World Music Camp
Kids and Adults can groove and dance to the beat as you learn to play exciting music and rhythms from the Carribean and Japan. This camp is designed especially for family participation and is open to ages 8 through adult, with no previous experience necessary. Participants will be totally 'hands-on' as they learn to play music on Carribean steel drums, and perform rhythmic routines on Japanese Taiko drums. All materials and instruments are provided. It's a full day of music, culture and fun! Individual rate is $50. Up to 4 family members may sign up as a group for only $60 by calling 772-PLAY.
