Hunter Hartman, 8, loves to sing and for the first time ever, he sang the National Anthem in front of the Cave Spring American Little League and Covington Little League baseball teams and all their spectators on Monday night.
Hartman, the son of Daniel and Amy Hartman, didn't even seem nervous.
"I sing everywhere I go," Hartman, a 3rd-grader at Back Creek Elementary School said. "Mostly at church."
Hartman said that his favorite songs to sing include the National Anthem, Jesus Loves Me, and ABC 123.
"I've only practiced," he said about singing the National Anthem in front of a crowd. "I've never sang at a game."
Hartman plays baseball, but his season is over and when asked if he would be willing to sing at Monday night's game against Covington, he jumped at the chance. He even sang the National Anthem at Wednesday night's game.
"I'm not going to stop no matter what," he said about singing. "And I can also play some instruments. I can play the guitar and the piano. I'm just kind of moving a long with the guitar. My Papa likes to sing and play the guitar and when I tried it I said, 'wow, I'm pretty good at this'."
Hartman plans to sing in the choir when he gets to middle school and said that he sometimes sings with his dad at church during choir practice.
Currently Hartman, who has a brother and two sisters said he is trying to each his siblings how to sing.
