Photos: Roanokers have successful season
The Roanokers won the 2009 Cave Spring National Little League Major League regular season title. The Roanokers also won two games to sweep the 2009 CSNLL Major League Tournament. The team's 16-1 finish ties a record for fewest losses in a season held by only one other Roanokers squad in the team's 42 year history. The 2009 Roanokers included Luke Marston, Cody Amos, Robert Milby, Hayden Hovis, Justin Larkin, Zach Howard, Ryan Iler, Conner McKeown, Will Marston, Tom Milby, Jon Alouf and Dallas Killingsworth. The Roanokers are managed by Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame member Jerry Ellis and by fellow Roanoke-Salem Hall of Fame member Bob Guthrie. The Roanokers are also coached by Jay Kirby.
