Photographer holds exhibit at Link Museum starting Oct. 23
The O. Winston Link Museum opens a new photographic exhibit on Oct. 23, and the photographer whose work is on display is from Southwest Roanoke County.
He's Jared Soares and -- full disclosure is required here -- he's also a staff photographer for The Roanoke Times.
The exhibit -- "On the Block" -- is described as "a photojournalist's unique perspective on hip-hop culture in Northwest Roanoke."
The exhibit begins with an interview with the artist on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. The opening reception is hosted by Cyrus Pace.
