Jacob Siar recognized as Swimmer of the Year
Jacob Siar was recently recognized by the Virginia Swimming, Inc as the 13-14 year old male "Swimmer of the Year" for the 2008-2009 swimming season. Jacob has been swimming locally with the Virginia Gators for 9 years. He currently holds 8 Gator team records as a 13-14 year old...50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free, 1000 Free, 1650 Free, 100 Back and 200 Back. Jacob also broke the Cave Spring High School record in the 500 Free last year as a Freshman.He is qualified to participate in the USA Swimming Junior Nationals to be held at OSU (Ohio State University) in December 2009.
Jacob would like to thank his family for all their support. He would also like to thank all of his Gator coaches over the years especially his current coach, Greg Lake.
