About the contributors

Nona Nelson: Nona is the newsroom manager of The Roanoke Times by day and a television junkie by night. She has roughly the same expertise in television as most Americans: She watches way too much.
Nona watched endless re-runs of "The Brady Bunch" and "The Flintstones," moved on to watch who shot J.R. on "Dallas" and matured into shows like "E.R.," "West Wing," "The Shield" and "Battlestar Galactica."
In the reality realm, Nona is a fan of "Project Runway," "Top Chef," "The Amazing Race," "Survivor" and, until this season, "Nashville Star."
TiVo helps her manage her addiction and still have a life away from the tube that includes her husband Phil, her daughter Laura, three dogs and two cats.

Stephanie Ogilvie: Stephanie has been addicted to TV since the early '80s, when she was dazzled by Medusa in "Clash of the Titans," Shelley Duvall in "Faerie Tale Theatre" and those crazy Canadians on Nickelodeon's "You Can't Do That on Television." She's been hooked on reality TV ever since Julie and Kevin went all Fight Club *snip* on each other *snip* during the first season of "The Real World."
Now Stephanie watches way too much "Project Runway," "Top Chef," "Judge Judy," "Wife Swap" and anything on HBO --- and she has an unhealthy crush on Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show."
When she's not enjoying the wonders of digital cable, she's editing the Inside Out and Travel sections of the newspaper.
Heather Froeschl: Heather is an Editorial Assistant in the newsroom and has an uncanny ability to connect media to life. If it happened on an episode of “Eight is Enough” she can mention it when it happens to your family. If Jack Tripper from “Three’s Company” told the same joke you just did, chances are she’ll let you know.
Theme songs tend to get stuck in her head and it takes a miracle to knock them out. 70’s, 80’s and 90’s TV trivia is just flowing through her brain. Riding the storm of reality television right from the beginning, Heather is a loyal and dedicated “Survivor” fan. If she could share a meal of rice with Jeff Probst she would be ever so happy. “The Amazing Race” is fun too, and she swears she could do that gig no problem, given the proper partner. “Lost” happens to be her favorite show. Many people have something to say about that.
Satellites provide the signals for Heather to be able to tune in, living out in the country of Franklin County with her two children, one dog and several cats.
