The empty cages
This is a video from the HSUS during a raid on a puppy mill in Hickman County, Tenn. The agency confiscated more than 700 dogs and pups, which are now being sent to shelters all over the South and eastern coast. At the end of the video, a screen will ask you to "donate below" because this was embedded on the Web site's donor form. Donate to the national organization if you like, or the Hickman County Humane Society, or your local shelters. But the best way to close down puppy mills is to never buy anything from a pet store that sells puppies.
var so = new FlashObject("https://gateway.hsus.org/feeds/hsus/oneclip/Player.swf","Player", "400", "300", "8", "#FFFFFF");so.addVariable("skin", "oneclip");so.addVariable("site", "hsus");so.addVariable("fr_story", "FRdamp280924");so.addVariable("hostURL", document.location.href);so.addParam("quality", "high");so.addParam("allowFullScreen", "true");so.addParam("menu", "false");so.write("flashcontent");

Not only not from pet stores, don't buy online either. With any puppy, see the pup's parents. Go in person and see the facilities where the puppies come from. Reputable breeders have nothing to hide. They also don't sell puppies on the internet. They also stand behind their animals for life.
