The Wright Kids: outtakes

Members of The Wright Kids, Levi and Sage Wright, take a peek to see who the surprise guest is for their Friday evening show. TV personality Jerry Springer visited The Wright Kids of Franklin County at Pop's Ice Cream & Soda Bar in Roanoke.  Springer, last season's host of America's Got Talent, made a promise that he would visit the trio.

With a crowd in front of Pop's Ice Cream & Soda bar reflected in a window, The Wright Kids performed for a capacity audience that included TV personality Jerry Springer.  In addition to watching the Franklin County musical group perform, last season's host of America's Got Talent also enjoyed a chocolate malt.

Day of Remembrance

Relaxed is probably the word I would use to describe the second Day of Remembrance at Virginia Tech. The feel on campus was very calm, the weather was warm and it seemed most people wanted to enjoy the day outside as they reflected. "I only saw one person crying," said Molli Chmielorz. She thought that the release of energy during the 3.2 mile race at the start of the day had a lot to do with the calm atmosphere.

Rough Ride

Jake McIntyre gets thrown around by a bull after his boot became stuck during a ride at the Professional Bull Riders Enterprise Tour in Roanoke, Virgina. McIntyre recovered from the fall and finished in 4th place at the event. This was the first PBR event held in Roanoke.
