One of the best things about being out in the community daily is the good luck that comes when you run across a great story. Earlier this year, I was at Belmont Baptist Church for a community section story when I came across the foot care clinic. The clinic began in 1990 after an elderly church member fell and hurt her arm while trying to clip her toenails. Today the clinic, which meets once a month, opens its doors to anyone who needs foot care.

What a wonderful ministry! Such a simple thing but I know of noone else doing this.

I agree Brenda! One of the benefits of my job is being able to spread the word about great programs for those who need it. I have talked to one of the nurses since the story ran and they have had several volunteers and those in need contact them!

IT IS SO NICE TO SEE THAT A GREAT SERVICE IS BEING DONE FOR THE ELDERLY. SOMETHING SO SIMPLE YET FORGOTTON CAN BE A GREAT DEED FOR ONE AND ALL. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
