Weather Journal on hiatus

Weather Journal will be taking an extended break due to a death in the family. I hope to be back in about a week or so.

  4. Nancy and I are very sad to hear of your loss. Just try to get through the coming days and weeks as best you can, Kevin. Time will soften the wound. Unfortunately, there has been more bad news concerning weather people in the media. Robin Reed announced today on Channel 7 that WDBJ-TV meteorologist Leo Hirsbrunner has cancer, and has been undergoing chemotherapy, so it must be very serious. I am shocked. I used to watch Leo every weekday morning that I went to work. Great guy. Folks can either mail a card to Channel 7 or there is a link on their website (wdbj7.com).
