Patience pays off for young Danielle Craighead
According to Tim and Rissa Craighead of Callaway, their 12-year-old Danielle passed up shots at numerous does and small bucks this season while waiting for what she called "the big one."
That wait paid off on Nov. 21 when she shot this awesome eight-pointer while hunting with family friend Bobby Amerson. Her 8-year-old brother was also along on the hunt.

Great buck Danielle!!! Congrats! Good job holding off until the one you wanted showed up! Bobby... kudos for taking her!

Way to go Danielle....you did the right thing by holding off. I bet that was tuff, but you have gotten yourself a fine looking deer. Keep up the good work and congradulations to you and hope to see your brother with a deer on the blog as well. Great job!

Great job Danielle. Love to see pictures of young adults with those big grins and smiles on their faces. They are the future of our sport.

That's a pretty nice buck, but I think you still owe money for the bet! Maybe you should consult buck-slayer Irv for some help!

Thanks doe-slayer Irv. Maybe the next time we go hunting I'll let you go with me and I'll teach you how to score on the big ones. Oh Yeah! don't forget to load your gun the next time you go hunting.
