Two nice bucks out in the middle of the day
The other day a buddy called and said, "I just saw two awesome bucks in a yard over on such-and-such street. Grab your camera and get over there."
So I did. And this isn't what I saw. The deer were gone.
This shot came from a reader. These bucks were at Primland Resort, according the guy who sent them. Primland is into quality deer management, and this is the kind of deer you get when you don't shoot yearlings.
I've been trying to shoot my bow a little and though I'm in much better shape overall than I was a year ago, those bow muscles need some work. There's still time...
Those are two nice bucks. If that 6pt. was on this resort, it could be culled.
It's a shame your buddy sent you on a wild goose chase:).

Hadn't seen any comments from you in a while.
I'm getting "Pumped" about the upcoming hunting season myself!
I broke out my old recurve bow the other day and started shooting it again. I haven't harvested a deer with the recurve for several years so I'm going to give it a try this season. My effective range is only about half of what I can shoot with the compound but I love the added challenge.

Thanks Ralph, glad to be back on here as well. Your son's head ok? I've had a thunderstick do the same thing to my partner a few years back in a Friday nite tournament [he was more upset that he lost his hat] but it happens eventually. Good luck to you as well and I'm sure we will be talking to one another soon!
