The Wild Life, with Mark Taylor

Young Kevin Heath Jr. with an election day double

How much does Kevin Heath Jr. love hunting? While most kids his age were getting ready to knock on doors and ask for candy on Halloween evening, this 9-year-old from Bedford County was out hunting.

So, when he didn't have school on Tuesday morning, you know where he was going to be. He shot this nice doe and three-point buck that morning while hunting with his dad.

These are deer three and four for Kevin Jr. this season, so he's certainly doing his part for herd management in deer-rich Bedford County.

  1. Go Kevin!

You've got the touch, rather you have that trigger control down to an art.

Continue to have a great hunting season.

  3. Congratulations Kevin Jr on your kill and also to Kevin Sr for his dedication and time spent teaching his son such good hunting ethics.

I know these guys both personally and Kevin Jr also has a great squirrel dog, Frost. He loves chasing those bushy tails!!! He has really grown into quite the sportsman!!! Good Luck the rest of the season.

  5. Good eatin', good management! Congrats to both Kevin Heaths! No better feeling than watching a youngster fill a tag!

Kevin, if you make any jerky...please don't forget about the CNC operator at work!
