The Wild Life, with Mark Taylor

Pastor Wendell Horton with a Carroll County bruiser

On a Nov. 9 hunt in Carroll County, Wendell Horton spotted two big bucks fighting. When they finally broke up, this buck headed Horton's way while trailing a doe. When the buck was at 90 yards, Horton made the killing shot with his Thompson/Center Omega. The rack's inside spread is nearly 20 inches.

Horton is the pastor at Skyview Baptist Church in Fancy Gap.
