That's what I like about ya'll

You're not afraid to essentially ask, "Shanna, what 'chu been smokin'?"

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton? What was I thinking!? Granted, I knew Barry would have to toss his principles (and probably his cookies) to pair up with Hill if he wanted any real shot at the White House. But it wouldn't be a first. I saw a report recently on PBS that chronicled folks who didn't like each other but served together as prez-vp. (All of the pairings escape me now, but JFK-LBJ and Eisenhower-Nixon were among the examples cited.)

But no, wait a minute....It's a bird, it's a plane....it's JOHN EDWARDS to the rescue of the Democratic Party to save it from itself! This campaign has more twists, turns and cliffhangers than an episode of The Young & the Restless. All I can say is stay tuned....and dare I put forth a Barack Obama-John Edwards pairing!?

Is this a nation where we will not be judged by the color of our skin but by the content of our character."

Probably not Hillary Clinton has made 7 notable references to racial indifference which should sicken every citizen of America. From Ghandi and service stations, To LBJ making more sacrifices than MLK Jr.

Yet no one calls her on it and if they do it's just normal. There is nothing normal about bigotry no matter the entity it's expelled from.

Thanks Shanna for reminding us that through your column on giving blood that we can do little things that make a big difference. When I consider sacrificing one hour and a pint of blood could save someone's life the return on investment is beyond calculation.

Shanna,

Your ethenic? abuse of the English word, is prohibitive, from my understanding just what it is that you are trying to say. It concerns me that this exceptable journalism..

Ah, Dona. Those of us who live in glass houses built of grammatical and spelling challenges shouldn't throw stones.--s

Not to give you a big head, Shanna, but this is what I like about you and your blog. You're interactive. You post reader comments and even respond to readers in their posts. While I'm sure you and I won't agree on everything, at least so far the blogs and responses that I've read show that you actually *think* about something and form an opinion based on some actual reason.

By far the reason that I frequent your blog (as well as the Datablog and Happy Wag) is that it is interactive. It keeps me coming back for more...(just to see what you're smoking ;D)

Jim

Since he's been talking to the bad guys, maybe Obama could choose either Ahmajinadad or someone from Hamas as a running mate? Nah, he'd prefer to clone himself for VP as no one else has the charisma and ego.

Edwards would be a very bad choice for Obama. Edwards was mediocre at best on the 2004 ticket. Obama needs to address the weaknesses the campaign has exposed so far. Sam Nunn would be the best choice in my opinion; Nunn is a moderate Southerner with a high profile on national security issues. Dick Gephardt also would have appeal to Democratic leaning working class members.

Nunn---makes a lot of sense. I haven't heard from Nunn in years. What's he doing? (Rhetorical question. I can find out via the Net.)--s

  • Ladies, relax!...it's (I'm) not that serious - Women take breast-feeding seriously. So seriously they failed to see I was poking fun at myself, not breast-feeding, in the introduction of my column.
  • Legitimate request? Or is she milking it? - When it comes to breast-feeding, I'm in league with a quiet sect of men -- and women: It grosses me out. Not the idea of mothers bonding with their babies and providing them nutrition and other natural goodies for healthy, growing bodies. But the act of them doing so, anywhere in my visual range.
