[UPDATED: 2:45, Tuesday] Sweet Valentine’s freebies and deals

Feb 7, 2012 Freebies, Holiday Shopping

Do you *heart* doughnuts? Krispy Kreme wants to give you a dozen for free! Photo courtesy of Krispy Kreme.

Here are some freebies and deals I’ve found that are just in time for Valentine’s Day. Enjoy them solo or with a special someone!

[UPDATE:

Gooseberry Patch is offering a free copy of their eBook filled with candy recipes. Click here to download the book from Amazon. If you're feeling adventurous, try making your own instead of buying it this holiday! Before you download the book, be sure the price reads $0.00.

Another free eBook download, 14 Valentine's Day Desserts, can be found here. This download is in PDF form, so you can print out the pages if you'd like.

END UPDATE]

Valentine’s Day is a great crafting opportunity for parents and kids. Fave Crafts has just release a free eBook called “21 Valentine Craft Ideas for Kids,” and you can download it here. The book is a PDF file, so you will be able to print the entire thing or select pages if you’d like.

Bath & Body Works is currently offering customers the option of sending a free 3 oz. body lotion ($5 value) to their Facebook friends. The recipients will recieve a coupon good from Feb. 14 to 20, and there’s no purchase necessary to redeem the deal. “Like” them on Facebook to get started.

Craving Girl Scout cookies but don’t have any on hand? Well, another free eBook available right now is “8 Types of Girl Scout Cookies: Your Favorite Girl Scout Cookie Flavors.” This book gives you copycat recipes so you can make your favorite cookie at home. Yum! This file is also in PDF form, so you can print as desired.

This tasty dessert is perfect for anyone on a budget, but wants to treat their date on Valentine’s Day. On Feb. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m., Ben & Jerry’s will be giving away free scoops of Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream. Call ahead to make sure your favorite location is participating. There’s no coupon necessary.

Krispy Kreme has a delicious deal available now, too. Right now you’ll receive 12 Valentine’s cards each containing a coupon for a free doughnut when you purchase a dozen doughnuts from the shop. Call ahead to make sure your favorite location is participating.

Redbox has a neat option for treating your friends and family on Valentine’s Day. Visit their Facebook page now and you’ll find a page where you can send a free rental to your friends. The rental code is only valid on Valentine’s Day. Hopefully they’ll return the favor so you can have a free rental of your own!

Know of any other bargains out there? Share them with me!
