Science Museum offers free admission to active military on Independence Day

The Science Museum of Western Virginia, currently housed on the upper level of Tanglewood Mall across from Belk, is offering free admission to active members of the military and their immediate families (including a spouse and children living at home) on July 4.

The museum has interactive, hands-on exhibits for all ages, including weather exhibits, geology exhibits, light, color and sound exhibits and the “Bridge of Fire.”

The museum’s hours on Wednesday will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
