Salem election results: Johnson, Jones, Garst winPosted May06, 2008 at 07:23 PMSalem voters today re-elected Jane Johnson and elected Bill Jones and Lisa Garst to join her on council. With all 11 precincts reporting, the results are: Jane Johnson 2,553 The top three vote-getters win. Clemens dropped out of the race after he was named to a judgeship, but his name remained on the ballot. We also have Salem results by precinct and a story on the election by Marquita Brown. 7:51 p.m.: With 10 of the city's 11 precincts reporting, the results are: Jane Johnson 2,248 The only precinct yet to report is North Salem No. 1. The absentees have already been counted and are included in the totals above.
