About 6 to 10 knitters showed up for Worldwide Knit in Public Day at Lake Spring Park on Saturday between 10 a.m. until around 1 or 2 p.m. Pictured above are, from left, Nikki Hedrick, Pam Winchell, Robin Ferguson, Catie Long, Stephanie Flinchumm, and Dani Miller, knitting on the gazebo-side of the duck pond.

The lower photo is courtesy of Robin Ferguson. Catie Long is teaching a young'un how to spin. She writes "We didn't have any other knitters show up but have heard from lots who've seen my pictures and wished they had come out..."you snooze~you lose!'"

The knitting group will be out at the Salem Avalanche game this Thursday for "Stitch and Pitch". The "Throwback Thursday" theme is 1994. Click here to see what musical selections the Avs might have in store for that night.

Our last post about WWKIPD was last Thursday.
