Lightning strike leaves Catholic church undamaged

cross3_resize.jpg

A spokeswoman from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem said the lightning strike that hit the church's cross on Monday left no significant damage.

The freestanding cross is located in front of the church. Strong winds did blow mulch from the base of the cross into the side of the church causing very minor damage.
