Pedestrian injured, man charged with hit-and-run

Police arrested and charged a man with driving while intoxicated on Monday night, after a hit-and-run incident on Fort Lewis Church Road.

The 21-year-old victim was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke County police said early this morning. The victim's name and condition were not available.

On June 30th, 2008, Roanoke County Police were dispatched to the 4500 block of Fort Lewis Church Road in reference to a Hit and Run with a pedestrian. Dispatch advised the suspect vehicle was a white Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep was located in the 4800 block of Fort Lewis Church Road. James Reiling was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The 21 year old victim of Roanoke County was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. The victim's name will be released pending notification to family.
The case is still under investigation.
