Two weeks ago, we told you that Cafe Madrid was opening on August 19, and then last week we informed you that the opening had been delayed until today, August 26. Well, the restaurant dishing out Spanish fare is open! Lunch hours are from 11:30 to 2 p.m., and dinner hours are from 5 to 10 p.m. The phone number is 375-8336. mannyThis restaurant has a lot of changes to make. The lunch menu is limited and overpriced. The atmosphere was grey and blase to say the least. The hot food was served lukewarm, the soup was to come in a bread bowl that they did not have. They have only been open two days, but should have been better prepared. After looking at the dinner menu there is no entree under $16.00. This is Salem, folks, not Spain.
