Glenvar High School grad Adam Clark will return to Roanoke with his Boston-based band, The Superpowers in a couple weeks. On Tuesday, Sept. 2 the band will perform at Blue 5 in downtown Roanoke with local opening band, The Seed. Clark describes the band's sound as Afrobeat: "Like James Brown's band goes to Africa," he said in an interview with So Salem earlier this summer. The show will last from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. The cost is $10. Blue 5 is located on 2nd St. in downtown Roanoke. Photo: Adam Clark plays the drums with the band he founded, The Superpowers. |
