Spartans move on to regionals in Competition Cheering

Salem placed fourth of six river ridge district teams in the River Ridge district cheer competition, just like last year. Last year’s squad placed fourth and went on to place second at the Regional competitions.

This year, the Regional competition is at Abingdon HS at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1. They’ll re-compete with first place Hidden Valley, second place Cave Spring, and third place Pulaski County along with finalists from the other districts.

We’ve got nine photos of the squad from community journalist Miranda Adkins, and five from Salem fans and parents Andy and Penny Wright. Click here to see them all.
