Salem leads in voting for best girls basketball team
Last week the Varsity Cast, our weekly high school sports webcast, posed this poll question: Who has the best Group AA girls’ basketball team in the region? Salem? Lord Botetourt? Blacksburg? Or Staunton River?
Well, here’s an update on the voting: So far, it’s Salem by a landslide.
As of this evening, it’s Salem 54 percent, Staunton River 31 percent, Blacksburg 12 percent, Lord Botetourt 3 percent.
