Jerry and Annie Lin watched the Winter Jam 2009 Tour Spectacular at Roanoke Civic Center Collseum on Thursday, Jan. 8. Here’s the message Annie sent into us:

“When we got over there around 3:00 PM, we saw the people already lined up at gates. The outside temperature was 20 degrees with windy, freezing cold weather. We stood in the line for 2 hours waiting for the doors to open at 5:30 PM.

When we got good seats after paying $10.00 cash at the door, the pre-show started at 6:20 PM. The artists were Stephanie Smith and the Precious Girls Club “pureNRG” pre-jar party. The speaker, Tony Nolan, said “We have 5,700 people in here”. The main concert started at 7:00 PM. They were Toby Mac, Hawk Nelson, Brandon Heath, and Francesca Battistelli.

Jerry enjoyed his basket of popcorn and liked his Winter Jam 09 T-shirt. Also, he liked his eyeglass which light up.

I enjoyed taking pictures, especially the one where I ran to the front of the stage to have a picture taken with Toby Marc, who is the hottest singer in the concert. People sang along with Christian songs with him. put the hands in the air, jumped up-and-down like crazy with the concert. Toby Marc’s solo career took off the first notes with three Gold albums, six number one singles, two Grammy nominations and widespread critical acclaim.

The concert lasted 4 hours. When we got home it was 11:00 PM. That was a long time for a concert, but we enjoyed it. Donations were taken for care and adaption of foreign children.

If you would like Christian songs and you missed this time, you may look forward to seeing them next year.”
