The first session is in progress, but the Virginia High School League Wrestling state championships for A and AA schools is happening today and tomorrow (Feb. 20 and 21) at the Salem Civic Center.

Eight Glenvar Highlanders are competing in the single A tournament and four Salem Spartans are competing in the double AA tournament.

Here’s more information on the sessions, which cost $10 to attend each, but children six and under are free. A tournament book costs $25.
