Just what we need…another gas station on West Main Street! Which of the existing ones will bite the dust after Kroger opens theirs. Another gas station is not progress. How many jobs is this going to create? Salem was built on small business. The small business owners have been pushed out of business by the Wal-Mart’s, Kroger, Sheets, fast food chains. Salem has lost it’s small town feel. The only bright spot is that there is little space left on Main Street for any more businesses. I suppose the Duck Pond would be a prime spot for….let’s see, how about another mattress store.

I agree 100% we do not need another gas station-How about a steakhouse on West Main-Applebees can only be good for so long-we just lost Goodys, Krystal Burgers and The Mitsubishi place-plus Fast Freddies-This is so sad-We only have one donut shop-Daily Grind is on 419 now-theres two paneras, two Texas Steakhouses in Roanoke and 2 Applebbes in Roanoke and with in 10 minutes of one another- A Chilis would be great for West main-Downtown Salem has a awesome group of restaurants-I wish they all could be like Mac and Bobs-thats a true place to eat-yummy salads!!
