Salem High School graduating student Brent Lawrence, who received both the Salem Fine Arts scholarship and the Dennis Reaser Pride of Salem Scholarship, will be attending Pfeiffer University in NC as music major. This summer he has been keeping in tune by singing and playing Jazz open mic night with Hoppie Vaughan at the Blue 5 Restaurant in downtown Roanoke. In addition planning gigs with his band “Nothing Special” at pool parties in Vinton.
