Another bear sighting near Poor Mountain

We have another report of a bear sighting near Poor Mountain.

Here’s what Donna Page tells us:

I was driving down my driveway, which is nearly a mile long from our home site to Northwest River Rd, and a small black bear ran in front of me approximately 50 feet in front of my car. It looked to be about 3 ½-4 ft nose to tail and 2 ½ – 3 ft tall. We live at the foot of Poor Mountain.

Thanks, Donna. We had a previous report on August 21 of a bear from Sandy Cooper, also near Poor Mountain.
