Photos: Kelly Magnum of Salem appears in Showtimers show
Kelly Mangum, a freshman at Salem High School, is appearing in the upcoming Showtimers production of “Wait Until Dark.”
Cris Emerson of Showtimers — another Salem resident — sends us this info:
Kelly Mangum (Gloria) is a freshman at Salem High School. She was in a couple of school plays when she was younger. She has also been attending Miss Mona’s Drama Camp for two years and has been taking classes there. She is very excited to be in her first Showtimers production.
About Wait Until Dark:
The Mystery thriller’s heroine is Suzy Hendrix, a blind Greenwich Village housewife who becomes the target of three thugs searching for contraband hidden in a doll, which her husband transported from Canada as a favor to a stranger he met at the airport. The trio tries to convince Suzy her spouse has been implicated in the crime and the only way to protect him is to surrender the doll. Murder and mayhem ensue when she refuses.
You can view rehearsal photos in the slideshow above or in this gallery format.
With her in the photos is Heather Smith, a Roanoke College graduate who now lives in Floyd.
