Roanoke Bar Association Foundation awards scholarships
The Roanoke Bar Association Foundation (RBAF) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2011 James N. Kincanon Scholarships which were awarded on June 14 at the Annual Meeting of the Roanoke Bar Association. The scholarship program was established in 1997 in honor of James N. Kincanon, Esq., in recognition of his fifty years of service as Secretary/Treasurer of the Association. With the 2011 awards, the RBAF has awarded $103,000 in scholarships since it was established in 1997.
The 2011 recipients are:
Michael J. Hartley, a graduate of Giles High School and the University of Virginia, now attending the Washington & Lee University School of Law
Brittany Michelle Hornady, a graduate of Salem High School and Virginia Tech, now attending the Washington & Lee University School of Law
Matthew George Rosendahl, a 2011 graduate of Glenvar High School who will attend William & Mary in the fall.
