Salem resident attends elite Chris Paul point guard camp
Salem resident Jerome Hairston, who attends and plays basketball at Christ School in Asheville, North Carolina, recently attended the elite Chris Paul point guard camp and the NBA Players Top 100 camp.
His family shared the photos above and this account from him:
“The Chris Paul camp was awesome, there were 20 of the top high school point guards in the nation, 15 of the top college point guards and about 10 of the top NBA point guards there. There was a lot of talent at that camp. I enjoyed it and learned a lot. I met point guards from Indiana, Texas, New York and the number one ranked point guard from Indiana. Also one of the Top Freshman Point guard Seth Curry from Duke was also an attendee at the camp.
“This past weekend I completed the NBA Top 100 players in the Nation Camp in Charlottesville , VA. It was held at the University of VA. Again, a lot of talented players attended. I was elected spokesperson for my team and had the opportunity to ask Kareem Abdul Jabbar questions about his career. This camp was very educational not just on the court but in the classroom as we had classes daily for 5 days about recruiting and career management, NCAA rules, games and much more.”
