Coach Shumate & Coach Diomedi of West Salem “Fire” coached their 10U girls Soccer team and the girls had 31 goals for the season and only allowed 9 goals . The parents of their team got together and got them custom T-shirts; the girls just LOVED them and so did the coahces.

The girls at the VA Tech Soccer game this past Sunday in Blacksburg supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The VA Tech team beat UNC 1-0. GO HOKIES! Alyssa Diomedi and Grace Ferris had a blast sporting their pink t-shirts. Grace’s brother Chase and Alyssa’s Dad Kevin watch as the Hokies warm up to prepare for their game. After the game, the girls team signed autographs to their aspiring fans and took pictures. Great team; it so nice of them to take the time with the younger kids! It was a great day with great friends and the Hokies won!
You can view some photos of this event in the slideshow above or, as always, here on Flickr.
