The City of Salem Parks & Recreation Department will be holding the 61st annual Ernest “Pig” Robertson Fishing Rodeo at Lake Spring Park on the following dates:

Children Ages 3-8 Saturday, April 28 9 a.m. – noon (rain or shine)

Children Ages 9-12 Saturday, May 5 9 a.m. – noon (rain or shine)

Children with Disabilities Day Monday, April 30 10 a.m. – noon (rain date: May 1)

Nursing Home Patient Day Wednesday, May 2 10 a.m. – noon (rain date: May 3)

The event is sponsored by the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Re/Max-Real Estate One of Salem. Many businesses in the community also have donated prizes and money to help make this event such a success. The rodeos are fun-filled days where everyone fishing receives prizes and special awards are given to the winners of each age group.
