Photos: Annie Lin celebrates Easter

I celebrate every holiday. I decorated my house for Easter. I hung the large size Easter flag and Jeremy Lin 17′s flag in the front yard with beautiful flowers blooming, such as tulips, phlox, Jane magnolia, pink flowering almond, and dogwoods. All with colorful pinks, reds, whites, yellows, and purples showing. I just like it. See! Spring is coming! I can feel, see, and smell it. I just like Spring in the air. The feeling is good. You see all the colorful tulips around my birdbath. My yard’s grass grew so fast, that it needs to be cut. My son, Jerry, is mom’s good helper. Look at his picture, he is pushing the mower, going, going, and going…

I dressed up for holidays. See my giant Easter bunny on the front of my shirt. Everyone asked me, “Did you make it?” I said, “No. Mrs. Parks, who is one of the residents at Eastwood Assisted Living, made it. She did a great job.” I hung it on my neck when I went to work and anywhere else.

See my inflatable snoopy, my singing chicken dance toy, my singing peter cottontail bunny, and the beautiful Easter lily plants in my picture. Is it wonderful? I just like to decorate for Easter holiday and celebrate it.

I had a picture taken at my work place. My co-worker Marlene gave me an Easter cake. Thanks. I took a picture with a full-blooming empress tree at the side of the road. I really enjoyed Easter even though I worked that day.

In one of the pictures, I wore a play bunny costume. I stood in the front of the Volunteers Together Be Make Difference sign in the VA Medical Center. I am one of the volunteers there.

PS. A Tai-Chi demonstration at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at Salem VAMC Ball Field. (Join us for the VA 2K Walk and Roll to benefit Veterans who are homeless and to promote exercise and wellness.) Voluntary donations will be accepted on the day of the walk. Please bring donations to building 7 room 30B (BLS classroom). The following items are suggested:

  • New clothing: pants and shirts (suitable for job interviews), sweat pants and T-shirts, pajamas, unopened packages of underwear and socks.
  • Unopened new toiletries such as shaving cream, disposable razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, deodorant, shampoo.
  • New towels and washcloths.

Anyway, please let me share, celebrating, and enjoying it with you.

Happy Easter!!!
