As a result of the success of recent job fairs, and the continued economic environment, the Spring Career and Lifestyle Fair will be held Wednesday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Roanoke Civic Center Special Events Center.
The event will be sponsored by National College, The Renick Group, Roanoke Valley SHRM, WDBJ7 and the Economic Development Offices of the City of Roanoke, Roanoke County and City of Salem. Exhibitors include companies offering jobs, entrepreneurial organizations showcasing resources to assist with business startups, and lifestyle organizations offering a diverse mix of social and cultural amenities.
“There have been many successes at the City of Roanoke’s past career and lifestyle fairs with large attendance and participants finding great opportunities. With the collaboration of strong partners including Roanoke Valley SHRM, Roanoke County, City of Salem, and ongoing partnerships with WDBJ7, The Renick Group and National College, this event will take on a new level of showcasing our area assets,” says Economic Development Specialist, Lisa Soltis. “Many college and university students will be seeking positions and we hope to give them an opportunity to find available positions and remain in the area as they enter the job market and build careers. The Spring Career & Lifestyle Fair offers all job seekers time to meet face-to-face with employers to learn what opportunities are available and the best way to proceed with the application process.” Approximately 100 organizations are expected at the event.
