Wanda Hodges is moving her boutique and salon “Because Girls Will Be Girls” and “Pampered and Polished” on East Main Street out to 820 Apperson Drive, the former location of Myra’s Salon. She hopes to have everything moved and the salon services ready in the new location by Memorial Day, she said.

She’ll keep her Hobo, True Grit, Cut Loose, Brooksilver Jewelry, Pure sweaters, and most of her other boutique lines that do not have online stores, she said, but she will nix Waxing Poetic and a couple of other brands that do have online stores. For the salon, she’ll keep all of her old services and will add a few.

The new location has more parking and it’s aesthetically pleasing, Hodges said.

In other East Main Street news, the “3 Peaks Endurance Sports” bike shop just next door has a “for lease” sign in the window, but I haven’t been able to reach the owners. I hope to have more information soon and will post it here when I do.
