Burton Center students sweep top 4 spots at Hot Rodders engine challenge

The Burton Center for Arts & Technology finished first, second, third and fourth as part of the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow engine challenge at Spring Carlisle this past weekend. The Burton kids topped four other schools/eight other teams to earn a return trip to Las Vegas this November for the championships. In addition, scholarship money was awarded, with each student receiving a payout ranging from $5,000 per student for first place to $1,000 for simply participating. A quick look at the math shows that Burton as a whole took home approximately $55,000 in scholarship money, which can be used at a handful of institutions of higher education in the coming years.
