Trena Carroll shares photos from Pack #39′s Blue Gold Banquet held March 10 at First Christian Church.
Scouts earned belt loops, activity pins, and rank badges. They received recognition for their Good Turns service projects. In order for a Scout to qualify for a Good Turn award, he must participate in at least three service projects. Pack #39′s service projects this year included collecting canned goods, collected candy for the church’s Trunk or Treat, made Samaritan’s Purse shoeboxes, collected food for the Salem Animal Shelter, made hygiene kits for the church, and they are now collecting peanut butter and jelly for the Rescue Mission.
Dan Dutton, Catawba District Commissioner, presented Friends of Scouting presentation. Friends of Scouting is an organization that supports Scouting and raises funds to maintain Boy Scouts of America’s camps and facilities.
