Registration for Summer Reading Program at Salem Library starts June 1

Dream Big – READ Summer Reading Program @ Salem Public Library June 19 – July 27, 2012 for ages two to ten years.

Register anytime from June 1 – June 22nd to get your free book bag, bookmark & reading log. Read or be read to for 5 hours & choose a prize: Ages 2-5 choose a finger puppet; Ages 6-10 receive a tie-dyed pen. Read for another 5 hours: Ages 2-5 earn a 5” plush frog; Ages 6-10 choose a plush owl or husky keychain. Read your last 5 hours: Ages 2-5 choose a star stamper; Ages 6-10 choose a tie-dyed slap bracelet or star notepad.

We have many fun & educational programs for you to attend: Pick up our calendar of events for dates & times. Go online to www.salemlibrary.info Magicians, Puppet Show, Belle the Macaw, outdoor Petting Zoo, Stuntology??? What is it? Come and see. All these programs are available (& free) throughout the 6 weeks of Summer Reading @ Salem Public Library. In house programs: Wednesdays are Craft mornings; Thursdays are Storytime Classes. The Salem Public Library is a cool, entertaining & fun place to be all summer long!

You can come to any program once you fill out a Summer Reading Registration form available June 1 – 22nd @ the library. You will get a Dream Big – READ plastic book bag, book log & stickers & book mark for being a part of our fun summer with you.

We give a Summer Reading Calendar of events to all children in the Salem Elementary Schools or pick one up at the front desk.

Look @ the Display Case @ the library for more details and to see the prizes you can win for READING! If you finish 15 hours of reading by July 31st, you are eligible for taking part in drawings for some 9” plush animals: a spotted owl or snowy owl, a floppy raccoon or a husky dog. You will be called if you win.
