Ribboncutting for “Bridge the Gap” campaign to connect Roanoke greenway to Salem’s Rotary Park 11:45 a.m. tomorrow
This event isn’t in Salem, but it marks the beginning of more focus on the “Bridge the Gap” campaign which is raising money to connect the Roanoke section of the Greenway to the Salem section.

Following the ribbon-cutting, sponsors of the “Bridge the Gap” campaign will present a big check, representing private donations and pledges to extend the Roanoke River Greenway to Salem.
Directions:
By car: Memorial Ave (13th St.) to Cleveland Ave. to 17th St.
On foot: From Vic Thomas Park, Grandin Village, or Norwich
By bike: Come by greenway
By public transit: Valley Metro Route 71 at 11:15 from downtown, Roanoke Ave. stop
