Salem High School alumnus Sam Harvey graduates summa cum laude from College of William and Mary

Sam Harvey, a graduate of Salem High School and the Roanoke Valley Governor’s School in 2008, recently graduated summa cum laude from the College of William and Mary with a degree in biology. During his time in college, he was active in undergraduate research and co-authored two papers on mycobacteriophage genomics. Next year he will be attending the MD/PhD program at Northwestern University with plans to focus on human genetic diseases.
