Glenvar ’06 grad Jill Thompson joins Central Shenandoah EMS Council
The Central Shenandoah EMS Council welcomes Jill Thompson as the new EMS Trainer. Jill will begin working full-time for the Council on June 19, 2012.
Jill is from Salem, VA and moved to Harrisonburg in 2006 to study Biology at James Madison University. Jill graduated from JMU in 2010 with a B.S. in Biology and began working at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department as and ER Technician.
Jill joined the Harrisonburg Rescue Squad in 2007 and quickly developed a passion for emergency medical services. She rapidly advanced her EMS education to the level of NREMT-Paramedic.
Jill continues as an active volunteer member of Harrisonburg Rescue Squad, serving as a Duty Officer and Operations Captain. She also works as a paramedic for the Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad. Jill enjoys taking part in learning, teaching and training at both agencies.
