Photo: Junior Achievement at South Salem Elementary
Here’s a photo of Jenny Kidd’s third grade class – I was lucky enough to get to teach them their Junior Achievement program this year: “Our City.”
We learned lessons and did fun activities about city zoning (why things are where they are,) construction and blueprints, restaurants, journalism, and banking this past May on afternoons after their Standards of Learning tests.
This photo was taken just after South Salem Elementary’s groundbreaking ceremony – see the construction and lot leveling happening behind us!
