The Salem Police Department is getting ready for the 25th annual Salem Fair.  Officers are busy making final preparations and setting up the command center at the fair grounds.

This year the Salem Police Department would like to remind everyone of the following:

• Parents, please keep an eye on your children.  With large crowds it is easy to get separated.
• Parents, please monitor your children and teens as they attend the fair.
• All fair-goers should know that absolutely no disorderly conduct or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
• With soaring temperatures, please remember to drink plenty of fluids and rest often.  The interior of the civic center is nicely air conditioned for your comfort.
• No pets are allowed on the fair grounds.
• Shirts and shoes are required at all times.
• A shuttle bus is provided for extra parking at the G.E. lots on Roanoke Blvd @ Rte. 419
