Photos: Salem soccer players in Europe’s Gothia Cup

The Roanoke Star Boys’ and Girls’ teams went to Europe to play in the Gothia Cup, which is the world’s largest youth soccer tournament with more than 1,600 teams from more than 70 nations.

The first photo is the Roanoke Star U15 Boys’ Soccer team on their way to the Gothia Cup. The remaining photos show Hunter Sampson and Connor Scro, both from Salem, playing in the Gothia Cup, and Kemper Wills of Salem, who was playing on the Roanoke Star Girls’ team at the tournament.
